Promise

There's a promise; I can see it. I know it. It's mine, and it has been since the beginning of time. If you asked me, and even if I denied, I would still know at my core that some part of me longs to be there.

There's a promise, and it's full of love. It's God's special expression of love to me. A place in the great wide universe that no other could fill. What's more, this promise is free to take. Anyone can have a promise, so greed has no meaning in this perfect love.

There's a promise - will I touch it? I've stood so long in self denial. My longings have been blocked by a lack of belief. In myself. In God. In who He made.

If I take hold of this promise, everything will change. I will never be the same. Neither will anything else. Promises were left to us who have the courage to change the world. But who can change the world who is not changed themselves?

And so I turn to faith. The catalyst for true change. Faith has conquered cities and brought kingdoms crashing down. Today, faith will take the promise, and faith will walk forward boldly.
